1. Why should I get a 3D/4D Baby Scan?
The 3D/4D Baby Scan provides a unique bonding experience for expectant parents. You’ll see your baby’s face, features, and movements in real time, creating a lasting memory even before birth. Beyond bonding, this scan includes a comprehensive fetal well-being check, including fetal weight estimation, placental position, and amniotic fluid assessment. Unlike NHS scans, 3D/4D imaging is not routinely available, so this private scan gives you both reassurance and a visual keepsake. You can also upgrade to HDLIVE 4D, which captures your baby in motion with realistic detail, almost like a short film.
2. What does this scan check for?
Our accredited sonographers perform a thorough assessment, including:
Heartbeat and fetal movements
3D/4D imagery of the baby for bonding and keepsakes
Fetal growth measurements, including estimated weight
Well-being checklist, assessing:
Placental position
Amniotic fluid volume
Fetal lie and presentation
Gender confirmation (optional extra if the baby is in a suitable position)
Tip: The optimal time for standard 3D/4D scans is 26–29 weeks for single pregnancies. For twins or multiples, we recommend 20–24 weeks for the best imaging.
